Discover more about the 2024 Dulux Colour of the Year - Sweet Embrace. Read on to explore tips and advice on how to use this colour in your home.
For over twenty years, Dulux has brought together a team of esteemed architects, authors, cultural analysts, editors, designers, and technology innovators to select a Colour of the Year. The panel make their decision by analysing colour forecasts, global design trends, and the general public mood.
Previous winners include Wild Wonder (a gold barley shade) in 2023, Bright Skies (a light and airy blue) in 2022, and Brave Ground (a warm, earthy neutral) in 2021.
The selected colour for 2024 is Sweet Embrace - a gentle blossom pink inspired by the softness of feathers and the subtlety of evening clouds. It’s a delicate shade that changes tone with the light but always brings warmth to a space. The panel chose this colour as they felt it reflected people's search for joy, comfort and safety in the uncertainty of today's world.
"Sweet Embrace can help us create our own special somewhere - a cosy place where we're safe, find calm and feel positive." - Heleen van Gent, Creative Director of AkzoNobel's Global Aesthetic Centre
