Pat McDonnell Paints is thrilled to announce the donation of €8,760 to Parkinson’s Ireland. Family members and staff gathered at our Centre Park Road store in Cork for the grand presentation of the cheque to Ruth from Parkinson’s Ireland.
The funds were raised through our first-ever company fun run, held on Saturday, April 2nd, at Ballincollig Regional Park. As April is Parkinson’s Awareness month we were keen to use this time to raise awareness and funds for this fantastic charity!
Under the guidance of seasoned runner and Commons Road store manager, Darius Gudonis, 20 staff members plus friends and family members enthusiastically participated by running or walking a 5K course. Thanks, Darius, for being our running guru!
A major shout-out goes to our fantastic organizing committee – Aidan, Sonya, and Tess. Without their tireless efforts and dedication, this event wouldn’t have been possible.
We are deeply grateful for the generous donations from our friends, families, and customers, which were so instrumental in achieving this remarkable fundraising total.
Every single euro raised goes to Parkinson’s Ireland, an organisation close to our hearts. They do fantastic work supporting individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease, offering vital services, education, and advocacy. We’re over the moon to have contributed to their mission and hope our efforts make a real difference in the lives of those they help.
We couldn’t have done it without your support! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who donated, participated, or cheered us on. Here’s to making this fun run an annual tradition, raising even more funds for worthy causes, and having a blast along the way!
